I'm going to be a mommy

I know that I am late with posting this blog, but it's true, I am going to be a mommy.

I found out the morning of October 6th; which also happened to be my niece's 8th birthday. I had to work that day, but I was so excited. I wanted to tell Nathan as soon as I could, but he was sleeping when I found out and I did not just want to "tell" him. I wanted to surprise him in an awesome and memorable way.

So, when I went to work that morning at the mall, I stopped by Build-A-Bear and built this teddy bear to give to Nathan once I got home.

I figured that this was a cute way of telling him, plus we have the babies first teddy bear.

I am now 12 weeks (3 months) and I am already starting to show. I feel fat because most women don't start showing right away. But, I haven't gained any weight, so it must be the baby wanting to show him/herself already.

Well, I will keep you all up-to-date on everything!

A great quote

From one of my favorite movies:

"Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes."

Can you guess the movie?

Homemade by Nathan

These bags were made by Nathan. He wanted to make some authentic leather draw-string bags. So, he went to a local leather store and bought these scraps of leather, some string, and other materials. He then used a wood burner to burn a design into this leather and then used rivits to put holes in the tops of them. Finally, he sewed these bags together. It took him about 2 hours to make both of them.
He has the smaller bag and uses it to hold pipe tobacco and he made me the larger one; which I haven't decided what I am going to use it for, yet.

Written by me

I have always been a lover of writing, and I have been working on mutilple stories for years. Well, my creativity reached a weird stage today while watching a preview for let alone ANOTHER Halloween movie, due out this month....

**Enter my thoughts** Okay, they keep making these scary movies and I am getting sick of them. Why can't they think of something else to make movies about? It's like when they kept making "teen" movies a few years back, and it started getting old, so they made spoof movies about them....like: Not Another Teen Movie, Scary Movie, and so on. Then the franchise of spoof movies came into play. Soooo, here is my horror movie spoof title: Freddy and Jason Saw what we did on Halloween. No idea what it would be about, but pretty creative title, huh? LOL...Sorry, this is what happens when I am tired and bored.

Back to reality....anyways, I am currently working on mine and Nathan's stories:

~"Realms" by Kimberly
~"Parabellum" by Nathan

Hopefully they get published one day.

Damn these drivers!

I have lived in California, a state known for it's horrible drivers; even worse, I have lived and driven in Southern California, which is considered one of the worst areas to drive in, next to New York City. I have also lived in Colorado Springs, a city dominated by crazy drivers. However, nothing compares to the horrible drivers in Billings, Montana.

I am serious, if you hate stupid drivers, stay out of Billings, or at least, have someone else drive or take the damn bus.

Here are a few scenerios of what I have to deal with EVERY time I get into mine or Nathan's car:

~NO ONE uses their turn signals, and the rare few that do (maybe 10 out of 100) turn on their
signal about halfway through the turn that they are signaling for.

~People here like to randomly slam on their brakes. No joke, there will be no one in front of them and they just slam on their brakes for no reason. Unless there is a ghost that I don't see walking across the street, then there is no reason for them to have the foot anywhere near the brake when driving. Oh oh, speaking of brakes, they must have one foot on the gas and one on the brake at all times because when I am behind them I see brakes lights, then none, brakes lights, then none, and so on constantly while I am behind them.

~They change lanes so fast and with no signal, I am surprised that there aren't more accidents. They also like to cut people off when changing lanes.

~Speaking of cutting people off, they like to pull into your lane and cut you off all the time. I am serious....just the other day I was on my way to work and this guy driving a beat-up ol' Olds Mobile cuts me off about 300 feet in front of me. I am going 40 mph and I have to literally slam on my brakes and almost come to a complete stop. The thing that pissed me off was that no one was behind me or beside me, so why couldn't he have waited till I passed or gotten in the other lane? Stupid idiot!

~I have been close to getting in an accident twice already, and I have only been here a little over 2 months and this is without any snow or ice on the ground. Both times was because stupid people on their cellphones were not paying attention and almost ran a red light and crashed into me.

~Hmmm, red lights...I guess people aren't too sure what to do about those, as well. People run red lights here as if it's part of their everyday routine. I am not kidding. On my way home from work today, I say three people run red lights, and I only live about 4 miles from my work.

~The speed limit is only 35 in the entire city, already too slow for me, and people still insist on driving 20-25 miles throughout the city.

~No one knows how to stay in their own lane when turning, or in general.....

Well, I could keep going on and on and listing all the things that are wrong with driving in this town, but what good would it do? Even the darn cops drive like this!!

Ready for Fall

As you can see by my blog layout, I am ready for Fall to arrive. With it being about a month and a half away, September 22nd to be exact, and I really looking forward to the cold weather and the snow that will also come with the arrival of Fall.

What I am most excited about, is that Halloween and Thanksgiving are just around the corner once Fall is here, and then...of course, my favorite holiday, CHRISTMAS!! I have already started my Christmas shopping and the QVC Christmas in July starts tonight!

I will also be trying to keep up my blog from now on....Nathan and I have moved to Montana and, with that, I am going to keep everyone updated on our lives.

TWILIGHT

I saw "Twilight" just a few days after it was released in theaters and fell in love with the storyline. However, my friend Kira told me that I HAVE to read the book, so I went out and bought it right away. I started reading it the minute I got home and read through Chapter 4 almost immediately. Well, with the choas that came with my wedding and the holidays, I had to put it on hold.....
However, I started reading it again today; and it is VERY hard to put the book down. There is SO much more to the storyline than what is in the movie. The love between Edward and Bella goes so much deeper and personal. I am getting more and more intrigued by this book. I can't wait to finish it and get started on the other three.
Oh, and if anyone wants to get me an "I love you" or "I'm thinking of you" gift, please send me the Twilight trading cards! You can get them online or at the Hot Topic store. I only have about 35 and I need 72. I am thinking about buying the complete set from Ebay, but I am debating.

2009 here I come!

Well, first of all, Happy New Year!!

Second, I am looking forward to this year...and here is why:

1. I will be getting my first officiall income tax refund somtime in February.
2. Nathan and I will be going to California in April to visit my family and to go to my friend, Stephanie's, wedding...I am a bridemaid.
3. We will be moving to Montana...our last day of work will be on May 15th.
4. We both will start new jobs and hopefully more fullfilling and ones that pay more.
5. We get to start fresh...in a new place, our own home, and all that fun stuff.
6. Nathan and I are going back to school...Nathan already enrolled and I plan on enrolling once I get my finances in order.
7. We will get to do our own Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years...without having to subject ourselves to everyone elses traditions. We can finally do it our way! :-)
8. Once we move, I am hoping to get my dog, Chloe, back...I really miss her!! Also, Nathan wants to get a dog as well, so that will be nice.

I am can't wait for some things to be over and move on...I am really looking forward to living a life with Nathan and enjoying being together in our own place.
